About me
Born 5 weeks prematurely, with a diagnosis of Osteogenesis Imperfecta and only two months to live, Becky Sisco has survived through more obstacles than her peers. Now at the age of twenty-two, she strives to be her best at accomplishing the things that everyone else does without help.
Becky received a high school diploma at Lake Norman High of Mooresville, North Carolina. She currently attends a local community college called Catawba Valley Community College. She has a dream of becoming a Graphic Designer for advertising purposes.
Becky was born in Murray, Utah and grew up there till the age of ten. After the age of ten she moved to Mooresville, North Carolina where she still resides.
During her life, Becky has been active in the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation as well as other organizations that help children and adults with disabilities. Most of her contributions have been recognized by others as a good deed to society. For example, she received her Gold Award for Girl Scouts after her senior year for doing a mini conference called “Transitioning to College for Students with Disabilities.”
Despite Becky’s limitations, she is a very fun-loving and giving person. She has a lot of friends and finds that the little things inspire her most. She tries to live her life to the fullest everyday, and she is an inspiration to all. Her motto is “Never give up” and to that, she has kept true.
